I couldn't go to Reading
In August 2007 I had planned to go to Reading Festival, but due to injury I was unable to attend. Therefore, I assigned a friend the task of making a surrogate ‘me’ to take to the festival and document with photographs and film the chance meetings with ‘myself’ and the other people there. During the festival, rumors circulated that I had died, the whole action aid tent were chanting my name, and I even appeared in the crowd of a Nine Inch Nails performance.

I couldn’t go to Reading, comprises of 12 color photographs, each capturing a chance interaction between a stranger and my absent self.
